A gallery of church life in Coleshill
Centuries of history are in this corner of the chancel, the resting place of generations of the Digby family.
The vault is that of John Digby.
Immediately behind the just-visible altar rail is the grave of former vicar the Rev William Digby, father of Captain Henry Digby who took part in the Battle of Trafalgar.
The mid-19th century tiles were re-discovered during refurbishment of the choir stalls. The 30 year old red carpet will not be replaced to enable the tiles to be shown off.
24th June - A stealth operation to retrieve a pigeon stuck inside church! No pigeons (or vicars!) were harmed in the capture.
Confirmation Service taken by Bishop Maurice with St Peter and St Paul's, Water Orton.
